American Bankruptcy Institute Medal for Excellence in Bankruptcy Studies
The American Bankruptcy Institute medal is awarded to the member of the graduating Juris Doctor class who has demonstrated excellence in the field of debtor and creditor law. This year’s winner, Elana Rofel, earned superlative grades in several bankruptcy-related courses, including Secured Transactions and Creditors’ Rights and Debtors’ Protection. Elana will receive a one-year membership in the American Bankruptcy Institute, as well as a medal and certificate from the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Joel B. Rosenthal Commercial Law Award
The Joel B. Rosenthal Award is presented to a member of the graduating Juris Doctor class who has demonstrated excellence in the area of commercial law. This year’s winner, Elana Rofel, will receive a monetary award and a Dean’s Certificate of Achievement. Elana earned superlative grades, including an A+ in Secured Transactions.
Elana Rofel received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Barnard College of Columbia University. She was also a member of the The George Washington Law Review.
